连读：英语的句速是由重音的间距来决定的，有时在一拍时间内要连续发多个音，于是单词与单词之间就需要首尾相连，由前一个单词的末尾音节与后一个单词的起首音节相连，这就构成了连读。
Continuous reading: the sentence speed of English is determined by the spacing of stress. Sometimes multiple sounds are made continuously in a beat, so words need to be connected end to end. The last syllable of the previous word is connected with the first syllable of the next word, which constitutes continuous reading.
英语的停顿是为了增强语言的感染力和表现力，便于更好地表达说话人的思想感情，引起听者的共鸣，同时也突出了语言的旋律美和节奏美。有些学生在进行听力训练时，误将句中的停顿听成是句与句的停顿，不能正确地把前后部分关联起来，结果错误地理解全篇内容。
English pause is to enhance the appeal and expressiveness of the language, facilitate the better expression of the speaker's thoughts and feelings, cause the listener's resonance, and highlight the beauty of melody and rhythm of the language. During listening training, some students mistakenly listen to the pause in the sentence as the pause between sentences, and can not correctly connect the front and back parts, resulting in a wrong understanding of the whole content.
